Project Description

Oyster Bay Lodge is located on Portion 3 of Farm Klippedrift No. 732, Kouga Municipality, Eastern Cape. Mr Hans Verstrate purchased the property in 1998 and began renovating existing structures in 1999. Further renovations and development took place between 2000 – 2006. The lodge can currently accommodate up to 33 guests. No further expansion is proposed.

In terms of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998) (NEMA) and the NEMA Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, these activities commenced unlawfully and rectification in terms of Section 24 G of the NEMA is required.
